News about housing improvements!
As a residential campus, it is our mission to create a safe, supportive and inclusive community that fosters the success and personal growth of each resident.
Several improvements to campus housing are currently being planned and implemented:
Crowell Hall – The planned renovation to Crowell Hall will be complete by this fall. This project includes upgrading the HVAC in the halls and common spaces, replacing the built-in desks and closets with standard residence hall desks and wardrobes, and improving the lighting throughout the building with more sustainable LED lighting.
Albright Woods Apartments – The lighting around Woods and on the path to Woods with will be upgraded to LED lighting, which will increase illumination by nearly three-fold. In addition, all buildings in the Albright Woods apartment complex will be evaluated for needed improvements. This process will continue through the summer.
Expanded group housing – Group housing to student groups such as athletic teams, Greek life, and other organizations is now being offered in Albright Woods, North Hall, and Rockland Hall. (Affinity houses are also available to these same groups through an application process each spring.)
Lion P.R.I.D.E. programming – New programming for first-year communities to assist new students with the transition to college; honors programming in Mohn Hall to encourage more faculty engagement with residents; and ARTs (Artists Residing Together) in Albright Court, a community for students with a passion for the arts with programming specific to this community.
