This course introduces generative artificial intelligence (AI) as a tool shaping how people learn, communicate, and work. Students explore practical applications of AI across a variety of contexts while developing skills in effective use, critical evaluation, and responsible decision-making. Emphasis is placed on building adaptable, real-world skills that support productivity and informed use of AI in a digital environment.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Explain the purpose and use of generative AI in everyday and professional contexts.
• Use AI tools to support a variety of academic and workplace tasks.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for quality, relevance, and reliability.
• Examine ethical and societal considerations related to the use of AI.

This lab provides hands-on experience with personal financial decision-making. Students engage in activities related to budgeting, saving, and investing to build practical financial skills.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Calculate income, expenses, and savings amounts for a personal financial scenario.
• Compare financial options related to saving and investing.
• Analyze the short- and long-term impact of financial decisions.

This course introduces the fundamental principles of project management. Students examine the phases of the project lifecycle, including initiation, planning, scheduling, execution, and closure. The course focuses on applying project management concepts to organize tasks, manage resources, and support project outcomes in organizational settings.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Apply project management concepts across the project lifecycle.

This course develops communication skills for professional and workplace settings. Students practice written, oral, and digital communication with a focus on clarity, audience, and purpose. The course also addresses the use of modern communication technologies and prepares students for the job search process, including professional messaging and presentation in career contexts.

Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

• Compose professional written communications for a variety of purposes and audiences.
• Deliver effective oral and digital presentations in professional contexts.
• Apply communication strategies and technologies to support collaboration and workplace interactions.
• Create and evaluate job search communications, including resumes and professional correspondence.

This capstone course integrates knowledge and skills developed throughout the program. Students apply their learning to professional contexts through projects, reflection, and the development of materials that demonstrate their abilities. The course also addresses career preparation, including job search strategies, professional presentation, and transition to the workplace.
