General Education Program

A Stronger Foundation for Every SPS Bachelor's Degree

Success in today's world requires more than expertise in a single field. The School of Professional Studies General Education curriculum helps students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to succeed in their careers, communities, and everyday lives. Through the BrightEdge Core, students build practical expertise in professional communication, project management, artificial intelligence, and financial literacy while developing the broad foundation expected of a bachelor's degree.

In alignment with Pennsylvania state requirements, all SPS bachelor’s degree programs include a minimum of 40 credit hours of general education coursework. These courses are designed to support Albright’s liberal arts tradition while giving adult learners practical skills they can immediately apply in the workplace and in their communities.
