General Education Requirements (40 credits)

All bachelor's degree programs at Albright College include a 40-credit General Education curriculum that provides a strong foundation for academic, professional, and personal success. Students develop skills in communication, critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, scientific inquiry, and global awareness while exploring a variety of disciplines.

A distinctive feature of the School of Professional Studies curriculum is the BrightEdge Core, which helps students build practical skills in professional communication, project management, artificial intelligence, and financial literacy. In addition to the 40-credit General Education curriculum and 36 credits in Interdisciplinary Studies, students complete the remaining credits needed to reach the 120-credit bachelor's degree. These credits may be fulfilled through elective coursework, co-majors, minors, certificates, Prior Learning Credit, and approved transfer credit. This flexibility allows students to create a degree pathway that aligns with their academic and career goals.
