About the School of Professional Studies

A college education should be within the REACH of every adult learner.

At Albright, we feel that a college education should be within the reach of every adult learner who has the motivation to succeed. The Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) is built to allow students like you to complete accelerated courses around your schedule. The majority of adult learners at Albright College enroll in one accelerated course at a time, with some students electing to enroll in two accelerated courses at a time.

Each accelerated course at Albright College will typically consist of one evening of class from 6 p.m.-10 p.m., per week, along with other assignments to be completed each week outside of the classroom. An accelerated course at Albright College ranges from five to seven weeks in length.

Once you enroll in courses in your major, you’ll join a group of adult learners, who will take these courses together as a unit. Albright College has historically found that adult learners have a higher retention rate in when attending courses with their peers.Albright College believes that every adult learner should have access to the most recent textbook and material for each course, so we include the cost of textbooks with tuition, to ensure you have the classroom materials to be successful in an accelerated course.

Adult Learners are guaranteed that once they begin their first accelerated course in their major; all future courses in their major will meet on the same night and a detailed calendar will be provided at orientation which can serve as a navigation tool for students.

  • Navigate the internet
  • Use a word processing program (Ex. Word, GoogleDocs)*
  • Use a presenting programs (Ex. PowerPoint)*
  • Send and receive emails
  • Run CDs/DVDs on a computer
  • Attach documents to emails
  • Download documents
  • Watch videos (ex. YouTube)
