Thomas D.White - Director of Alumni Relations, Albright College Thomas D. White
Appointed Director
of Alumni Relations

Bringing with him 12 years of alumni relations experience, Thomas D. "TD" White of Audubon, Pa. has been appointed Albright's director of alumni relations.

Prior to joining Albright, White served as director of the continuing education division at Montgomery County Community College in Pottstown, Pa. He has held director positions in the alumni offices at George Washington University, Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, and Valley Forge Military Academy and College.

White holds a masters in public administration from Pennsylvania State University and a bachelor of arts in psychology/sociology from North Georgia College.

White says he envisions the Alumni Relations Office as "an instrument of the institution. We're professionals designed to enhance their (alumni) relationship with the institution."

Enhancing that relationship, he adds, means working to inform alumni, get them involved in the College and make them excited to be a part of the institution. White says his initial tasks will include strengthening the amount and number of communications to alumni, developing a marketing plan for a memorabilia program, working with volunteers and getting programs for both students and alumni up and running. Developing relationships with students beginning in the freshman year is an important goal, White adds. "We can't just talk to them when they graduate. The Alumni Association has to be involved every year from their freshman to senior years."
