Student Checklist for New Incoming Transfer Students in Spring 2025 – Albright College

Student Checklist for New Incoming Transfer Students in Spring 2025

How to check your Ready to Roar status

Use your LionLink credentials – sent to you in an email – to activate your Albright email and complete your new student checklist via our secure Ready to Roar student portal. Your email is through Microsoft Office 365.

In the portal, status colors will change, much like the colors on a traffic light, as you finish each required step. Red indicates you have not yet started an item, while yellow means it is under review and green means you have completed that task!

To make this process easy, you should use a computer or laptop (rather than your mobile phone) to complete checklist items in the portal. Follow instructions for each task and, if you need help, please contact the campus office listed with each step or call 610-921-2381.

First Things First

Clearance Checklist

Our Spring Ready to Roar day is your welcome and resource session before you begin classes this Spring. All new incoming transfer students, both residential and Commuters, must attend your orientation on Sunday, January 19th from 6 to 9 p.m. in the McMillan Student Center.

You will receive an invitation to your Albright email account to contact your advisor to choose your classes. Please make sure you respond in a timely manner to secure classes and discuss your transfer credits.

Confirm your commuter or residential status and select your meal plan by completing the Housing and Commuter form in MyHousing. Email reslife@albright.edu with any questions.

In accordance with federal regulations, Albright must have your final high school transcript on file to award any financial aid (including merit scholarships).

Connect with your high school counselor to send your final high school transcript to Albright Admission. To be considered for advanced placement credit, please also have your AP or IB exam score sheet sent to Albright Admission. If you have completed college courses, please request that an official college transcript is sent to Albright Admission.

Email your transcripts/score sheets to admission@albright.edu.

OR mail through the post office to:

Albright College Admission Office, Thirteenth & Bern Streets, P.O. Box 15234, Reading, PA 19612-5234

All incoming students must complete and submit health forms to Albright’s Gable Health and Counseling Center. Use your LionLink username and password to access these forms in the Albright Student Health Portal. Note: after your forms are received, it may take up to 72 hours for this bar to change colors. Questions? Contact the Gable Health Center at 610-921-7532 or gablehealthcenter@albright.edu.

Your spring semester billing statement will be available by early December. Use your LionLink username and password to log into LionPay via student Self-Service. Your fall ebill can be viewed in LionPay by clicking on “Statements” in the left side menu. The “overview” page will reflect your current account balance. A financial plan for any balance reflected on the spring statement is due by January 6th.

Let’s wrap things up

Your student ID is vital to access buildings, services, meals and more. Upload your picture for your student ID. Questions? Contact Public Safety at (610) 921-7670.

Emergency contact information is required for all students. Fill out the Emergency Contact form.

Complete the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) waiver to decide who can receive information about your grades, financial information and student conduct.

Complete the Title IV Authorization form to apply funds from federal loans and grants to your student bill to pay for charges within each financial aid year.

If it applies to you

Another task to complete, if applicable to you, is to submit your Accommodation Request form as soon as possible. This document is intended for students who require adjustments to their academic and/or housing arrangements to maximize their success.

You can access the form via the Ready to Roar portal. If you need assistance, contact the Student Accessibility & Advocacy office by email at SAA@albright.edu or call 610-921-7503.
