Track and Field FacilityThis vital outdoor track and artificial turf field will serve as a home to our track and field student-athletes. The planned facility includes an all-weather, eight-lane track with an artificial field in the center to provide needed playing space for varsity and club sports, as well as lighting, restrooms and fencing. Albright’s men’s and women’s track and field teams, led by Coach Deneen Ebling, have had much success over the years, despite the lack of a facility to serve as their home. In July 2017, the College acquired the David Crystal building as the future site of a new track and field facility. Continuing that work will demonstrate our commitment to the success of our student-athletes and greatly enhance the attractiveness of the College to prospective students. Health and wellness are valued at Albright College, as is the College’s connection to the community. In addition to providing opportunities to host events and competitions, this new facility will enable area residents to use the facility for wellness activities through Albright’s Schumo Center for Fitness & Well-Being. Future phases are dependent on donor contributions and will move forward only as gifts are received.
