Biography
Scott DeLoach has been teaching college writing since 2012. Originally from California, Scott earned his doctorate in Composition and Applied Linguistics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2021. In addition to composition studies, Scott’s teaching is also informed by genre theory as well as the intersection of writing courses and campus writing centers. Scott has overseen the development of embedded tutoring programs at the community college and university levels. His research explores how first-year students are influenced academically and personally by current composition pedagogy.
