Biography

Liz Polley received her MFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music in Costume Design and Technology in 2010 and Bachelor of Arts in 2007 from Albright College in Theatre & Fashion.  She is thrilled to return to Albright as an Assistant Professor of Theatre.  Recently, Liz worked as the Costume Shop Manager and an Adjunct Professor for the Kean University Theatre Conservatory and Premiere Stages Theatre Company.  Prior to this, she worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Costume Technology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  Her past work credits include The University of Texas – Rio Grande Valley (Costume Shop Manager, Adjunct Professor), South Texas College (Adjunct Professor), The Phoenix Theatre Company (Costume Shop Manager, Assistant Costume Shop Manager), The Shakespeare Theatre (Stitcher), The Glimmerglass Festival (First Hand, Stitcher), and Surflight Theatre (Costume Intern and Costume Designer).  Selected Costume Designs include The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nighttime (UTRGV), Buyer & Cellar (Phoenix Theatre Company), Cinderella TYA (Surflight Theatre), Peter Pan TYA (Surflight Theatre), Alice in Wonderland TYA (Surflight Theatre), You Can’t Take It With You (UC/CCM), On the Verge (UC/CCM), Top Girls (Albright College), and Proof (Albright College).  Highlights from Liz’s professional wardrobe career include the concerts of Taylor Swift, Pink, Justin Bieber, Paula Abdul, Cher, and Ariana Grande. Wardrobe for national tours include Kinky Boots, Dirty Dancing, Jersey Boys, Spamalot!, West Side Story, Beauty & the Beast, Cats, and Ragtime.
