Biography

Doreen Burdalski worked twenty years in the fashion retailing industry as a Fashion Buyer and Visual Merchandising Director before beginning her teaching career. She earned her Masters in Business Administration in Marketing at Rutgers University and her Bachelor of Science in Merchandising at Philadelphia College of Textiles and Science, now Philadelphia University.

Doreen serves as Chair of the Fashion Department at Albright. She enables students to network in the fashion industry by bringing speakers to campus, planning industry-related trips, and partnering with industry to conduct experience events for students on campus. Doreen is the faculty advisor for the student fashion newsletter, Fashion Lion, and for Club Vogue, the student fashion club at Albright.

Currently, Doreen serves on the Educational Foundation Board for Fashion Group International Philadelphia, the largest professional fashion organization in the world. Doreen is also a member of the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA) and the National Retailing Federation (NRF). Prior to becoming Chair of the Fashion Department at Albright, Doreen taught merchandising at Philadelphia University, Drexel University and the Art Institute in Philadelphia.
