Master of Fine Arts in Theatre with a Scenic Design focus from the University of Hawaii at Manoa
Donald Quilinquin, technical director and master electrician, holds an MFA Theatre with a Scenic Design focus from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he represented his Alma Mater at the Region VIII Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival in 2013 and received the National KCACTF Award for Design Excellence for his design on Uncle Vanya & Zombies. Since receiving his MFA, Donald has sought out a wide array of professional roles and experiences at both professional and academic theatres — including serving as Master Carpenter, Carpenter/Welder, Technical Director and Production Designer in pursuit of a deep understanding for a respectful and collaborative approach to making theatre. His latest theatre position was as Master Carpenter at PlayMakers Repertory Company — which incorporates both the Graduate and Undergraduate programs at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
