Employment History: In 1984 after completing my residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania I moved to Greater Baltimore Medical Center. I have been Chairman of its Department of Radiation Oncology since 1996. My non-paying gigs have included chairman of: the GBMC Foundation, The American Cancer Society’s Maryland Division, Mid-Atlantic Division, South Atlantic Division and I currently serve as Chairman of the American Joint Committee on Cancer.

Advanced Degrees after Albright: I graduated from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1979, completed one year on internal medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in 1980, a second year of internal medicine at Georgetown University Hospital in 1981, and completed residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Pennsylvania in 1984. I was awarded my F.A.C.R. and F.A.C.R.O. in subsequent years.

Albright Memories: Classes with Dr Barth were the best, I loved Ted Sargent’s classes, and Dr Kistler was the greatest character who never failed to make you smile with his “Brookland, you are the dumbest person in the class…but I will give you one chance to redeem yourself- what is the greatest source of evil in the world? ”

Hobbies: Traveling (was planning to go to Japan and go on a tour to France with my sister in May, go on a Mississippi River cruise to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary in June and go to Yellowstone, Mount Rushmore, etc. in August – all cancelled), hiking, going out to restaurants and music venues, and Toastmasters (three-time Distinguished Toastmaster).
Albright Memories: Midnight typing of term papers in the Selwyn basement the day before the deadlines, working in the Alumni Office, and our wedding in Merner-Pfeiffer chapel officiated by Dr. Cocroft and Dr. Prestwood on the day before my graduation from Albright.

Hobbies: I used to play a lot of tennis…until 3 knee operations did me in,…so these days, its golf, 5K runs, travel, going to concerts (pre Covid) and playing with grandkids.
Albright Memories: Albright Court freshman year was a blast, parties at various locations, tennis team with Doc Yoder, The Boss and Billy Joel concerts, football game in the snow outside of North Hall, 4th floor Smith (but wait…there were only 3 floors), Ronnie’s Exeter Street Cafe (I think that’s what we called it), Inter-mural football (Go- nads), the night before graduation (roaming the campus…in the rain, with Steve Dorn, aka “Dorney”), graduation day…and of course great friends and great education too.

Welcome to our 45th Reunion!
While our lives have changed significantly since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, Albright had to make the difficult decision to pivot from the typical in-person, on-campus events to a re-imagined virtual experience for Homecoming Weekend, September 25-27, 2020.
Until we are able to reschedule our in-person reunion for a future date, we will still commemorate this year with virtual class gatherings.

3/4 oz. lime juice
3/4 oz. grenadine
1 1/2 oz London Dry gin (or vodka)
Twist of lime for garnish
Shake with ice (James Bond style)
Strain into chilled martini glass.
