Fri., 9/24 – 50+ Club luncheon | Classes of 1970 & 1971 induction

12 p.m., McMillan Student Center, South Lounge – All alumni who graduated 50 or more years ago are invited to attend this luncheon, featuring the induction of the classes of 1970 & 1971 into the 50+ Club, a college update by President Jacquelyn S. Fetrow, Ph.D. ’82 and a student presentation.

Fri., 9/24 – Athletics Hall of Fame reception and dinner

6 p.m., Schumo Center Lobby, Red and White Room – Class of 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame inductees are Eric Daney ’06 (swimming), Cindy (Barner) Ikeler ’05 (swimming), Nate Romig ’10 (football) and Steve Simon ’64 – posthumously (football/baseball). The evening will begin with a reception in the Red & White Room, followed by a 7 p.m. dinner. Honorees will be inducted into the Albright Hall of Fame at Friday’s dinner, and will be recognized during halftime of the Albright football game on Saturday.

 

Fri., 9/24 – Air Bands

9 p.m., Memorial Chapel – Watch this iconic student competition and learn what music students are dancing to today!

 

Sat., 9/25 – Breakfast of Lions

8:30-10 a.m., McMillan Student Center, Dining Hall – Start your day with a hearty lion breakfast. Pay $10 at the dining hall upon arrival.

 

Sat., 9/25 – “Magical Mystery Tour”

9 a.m., departing from Main Parking Lot – Hop on the bus to take a trip down memory lane while touring the surrounding Albright and Reading community. The tour will highlight former Greek life and faculty houses and other locations that were meaningful to you during your time on campus. Limited to 29 riders.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Baseball alumni game

10 a.m., Kelchner Field – Baseball alumni interested in participating should email Head Coach, Jeff Feiler at jfeiler@albright.edu. Batting practice for alumni players begins at 9 a.m. Or leave your glove at home and stop by Kelchner Field to catch up with teammates.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Campus tour

10:30 a.m., Depart from front of Selwyn Hall – Take a tour of campus led by an Albright alumni board member and current Student Ambassador.

 

Sat., 9/25 – WXAC Alumni Radio Hour

11 a.m. – 12 p.m., WXAC radio station (1900 North 13th St., next to Roessner Hall) – Did you host a radio show as an Albright student? Relive your radio days by making a guest-alumni appearance and playing tunes of your choosing. Reserve your spot no later than Friday, Sept. 17, as this opportunity is limited to six 10-minute time slots. Tune in at wxac.net.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Lunch

11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Bern St. between Birch & 12th Streets. (next to Shirk Stadium) – Grab a bite to eat at the lunch tent. Alumni lunch costs $15.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Tailgating

11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Armory Lot – Alumni, students, parents and friends who are 21 or older may participate. Registration is required to park a vehicle in the lot. College and state alcohol regulations will be enforced. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our parking lot clean and respecting campus rules. Gates open at 11 a.m. and all must vacate the lot by 4:30 p.m. Vehicles will not be allowed to leave the lot until 4 p.m. IDs will be scanned at the entrance. No RVs, kegs, glass containers or grills allowed. All food must be precooked and packaged.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Class of 2020 & 2021, First reunion

11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Armory Lot – Campus was your home for the last four years. Pick up two free football game tickets at registration and catch up with friends in two reserved tailgating lot spots. Free to attend. Join the “Albright Class of 2020 and 2021 Reunion!” Facebook group and follow the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021 Instagram accounts to stay up to date on reunion info. 2020 reunion committee: Abigail Army, Faith Guzzo, Andrea Nguyen, Jacob Pollicove, Blake Reed, Isha Shah and Allison Ulaky. 2021 reunion committee: Evan Cardinal, Abby Ensslen, Donna Saboori, Robert Schwartz and Rayven Stith.

 

Sat., 9/25 – Football vs. Widener University

12 p.m., Shirk Stadium – The first 250 fans will receive an Albright foam hand. Halftime will feature the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen and recognition of Athletics Hall of Fame inductees. Registered alumni should pick up their complimentary tickets at the registration table between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (13th & Bern Streets.) Otherwise, pay $5 on the day of the event at the Shirk Stadium gate.
