2021 Alumni Week On-Demand 2021
More than 320 alumni, faculty, staff and students tuned in virtually for 21 social and networking events during Alumni Week On-Demand 2021.
The week-long event included affinity and departmental gatherings for the Science, Pre-Law, Music Business, and World Languages and Cultures departments, Phi Delta Sigma Sorority, Alpha Delta Pi Sorority, Phi Mu & Phi Beta Mu Sorority and Lion Diplomats.
Highlights included:
- A video on what “Albright is” to many of our alumni
- A pet photo contest
- 1st place – Jackie Mantell ’20
- 2nd place – Dalton Weller ’18
- 3rd place – Silver (Glover) Vann ’05
- An interview with Steve Mech, Ph.D. about Albright in Costa Rica
- An interview with alumnus and YouTube founding team member Brent Hurley ’01
- An interview with the alumni founders of “Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon”
- A career networking event for the Society of Black Alumni
Six alumni were honored for their outstanding contributions and achievements at this year’s virtual Alumni Association Awards ceremony, including:
- Tiffenia D. Archie, Ph.D. ’92, Jacob Albright Award
- Benedetto Franco ’06, Distinguished Alumni Award
- Robert L. Johnson ’91, Distinguished Alumni Award
- William G. Young ’76, Distinguished Alumni Award
- Thomas A. Chaves ’85, Mary Fry Good ’49 Service to Alma Mater Award
- Andrew R. Holets ’06, Young Alumni Achievement Award
