Albright College honors faculty
Several awards are bestowed at the end of each year, recognizing the work and dedication of Albright College faculty. Awardees are nominated by their colleagues, students and alumni. This year’s honorees include five distinguished educators.
Lennie Amores, Ph.D., assistant professor of Spanish, received the United Methodist Church Exemplary Teaching Award this year, recognized for excellence as a teacher who emphasizes service to students and contributes to the scholarly life of Albright College. > Full story
Earning the Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award, Christian S. Hamann, Ph.D., associate professor of chemistry and biochemistry, was recognized this spring as a teacher who imparts enthusiasm and passion in the classroom to students who carry it with them throughout their undergraduate studies. > Full story
Heidi Mau, Ph.D., assistant professor of communications, earned the Henry P. and M. Paige Laughlin Annual Distinguished Faculty Award for Scholarship for 2020. The award honors a faculty member who demonstrates exemplary scholarship in their field. > Full story

Paige Laughlin Annual Distinguished Faculty Award for Teaching, Elizabeth Kiester, Ph.D., is an accomplished scholar, a dedicated mentor and an engaged and energetic teacher who does not shy away from experimenting with new pedagogical methods to enhance students’ experiences in her classroom. > Full story
