In her new role at the College, Vardaxis works collaboratively with the Alumni Association Board of Directors, leads alumni events, communications, and volunteer opportunities; and provides leadership and oversight of The Fund for Albright, the College’s annual fund.

Prior to coming back to her alma mater in 2001, Vardaxis served in leadership roles at Reading Symphony Orchestra and Wachovia Bank, N.A. in the areas of development, marketing, and community relations.

As a leadership gifts officer she was integral to the success of Albright’s recently completed That Their Light May Shine campaign, which raised more than $58 million for the College. She has excelled at creating long-lasting relationships, engaging alumni and donors, raising funds, and has shown leadership in bringing group fundraising projects to fruition.

During her time as a student at Albright College, Vardaxis studied English, communications and German, and was awarded the Gold A and Jacob Albright Awards.

A native of Reading, she is active in the community and is a Leadership Berks graduate, receiving the Distinguished Alumna Award in 2011. Currently, she serves as the secretary of the GoggleWorks Board of Directors and is on the Marketing Committee of the United Way of Berks County.  She is past president of the Board of Directors for Berks Arts Council and previously served on the Albright Alumni Association Board. She is an active member of Phi Delta Sigma, Albright’s Honorary Alumnae Sorority, and is the co-advisor for the Albright International Student Association.
