Summer 2019 Albright Costa Rica Tour

The Albright College Alumni Association announces a new ecotourism trip of Costa Rica during summer 2019 for alumni, faculty, students and friends.

During the trip, attendees will have the opportunity to visit Albright College’s five acre property, Casa de Gratitude at Rio de Suenos. The property was donated by alumnus Max Jackson ’75 in 2014 and has since provided students with opportunities to study abroad and take part in research projects, including this trip.

Dr. Stephen Mech, professor of biology, has organized past student educational trips and will now lead a pair of one-week trips: July 20-27 and July 26-August 2. They will include a tour of an organic coffee plantation, Quetzal Bird Tour, a visit to Tres Rios waterfall and Playa Ventanas (a popular beach), a hike around Arenal and more.

The cost of the trip is $3,000 per person. This price covers all expenses including round-trip airfare from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., meals, lodging, admissions to parks and resorts, ground transportation while in Costa Rica, a bilingual guide and tips. Reserve your spot with a non-refundable deposit of $250 or full payment for the week of your choice. The deadline for final payment is March 31, 2019. Each trip will be limited to 13 people.

Payment schedule after initial deposit:

12/31/18 – $250
