Albright College is a vibrant and exciting campus that welcomes students from around the world. In fact, we were ranked as one of the top 12 most diverse colleges in Pennsylvania. As an international student, you’ll feel at home immediately as you live, learn and socialize in our residence halls, classrooms and clubs.

First-Year Students

We encourage you to apply early in your final year of secondary school. You can apply with the Albright app or add Albright to your Common App. In addition to your application, you will need to submit additional documentation, including academic transcripts, a professor recommendation and a certificate of finance, among others. A full description of your requirements is listed in the Application Instructions below.

In addition to your application, the following documentation is required for application to Albright College.

Academic Transcripts
Please submit an original secondary school transcript, a copy of the transcript with an official school seal, or a notarized copy of the transcript. An up-to-date transcript includes grades for the past four years of school as well as a listing of courses, exams, marks and certificates in progress.

Standardized Test Results
If your native language is not English, you are required to submit results from any one of the following tests:

  • Test of English as a Second Language (TOEFL) with result of at least 80 iBT
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with overall band score of at least 6.0
  • Duolingo English Test with result of at least 105
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT)
  • American College Testing (ACT)

Certification of Finances
Please have a financial sponsor complete the Certification of Finances form and submit a bank statement issued within the past six months. Both documents must show that the sponsor is willing to pay for and can afford the cost of your education.

Letters of Recommendation and Essay
Are not required but strongly encouraged.


Transfer Students

Every international student finds their own path to Albright College. If you are currently enrolled at or have previously matriculated to another institution of higher education and have yet to complete a bachelor’s degree, you should apply to Albright as a transfer student. To be considered, you can apply through the Albright App or Common App; you’re also required to submit supporting information, which is detailed in the Application and Forms section below.

In addition to your application, the following documentation is required for application to Albright College.

Academic Transcripts
Please submit an official or notarized copy of your postsecondary school transcript with course titles and grades. Your secondary school transcript will also be required if you have fewer than eight courses that will transfer to Albright.

Detailed Course Information in English
In order to determine which university courses are eligible for transfer to Albright, we need to receive course descriptions in English. Please detail:

  • The length of each session
  • How many hours each course was studied

This form should be completed by an official of the university at which you are currently or were most recently enrolled. When submitting the questionnaire to the appropriate administrator, please request that it be returned directly to Albright’s Admission Office.

What are your tuition and fees?

When are the deadlines for application?
Students applying for the fall semester should apply no later than July 1.
Those applying for the spring semester should apply no later than December 15.


Are late applications accepted?
Yes. Under certain circumstances, we do make exceptions and can often accept late applications.

Tell me more about available scholarships for international students.
All scholarship decisions are based on a student’s academic history. Scholarship amounts range from $8,000 to $19,000 for full-time students taking classes on Albright’s campus. If awarded, the scholarship is renewable for up to four years, provided you maintain satisfactory academic progress and are in good standing with the Albright College Student Code of Conduct.
