Advancing Lives Scholarship

At Albright College, we believe that the life-changing benefits of an Albright education must be equally available to talented, determined students across the broadest range of socioeconomic backgrounds.

The Advancing Lives Scholarship offers need-based aid to rising full-time sophomores, juniors and seniors in good academic standing with the college to help cover the gap in tuition increases each year. The scholarship remains with the student as they advance in their academic career to help meet their individualized financial needs.

Making an Impact
On Dec. 11, 2020, Deborah Ayomiposi Afolabi, a communications major with tracks in public relations and advertising, took a deep breath and exhaled. “That was the day I found out that I was receiving the Advancing Lives Scholarship to help me get through my last semester, after being shaken with the reality that I had come so far, but may not get to complete my education.”

A high-achieving student leader, Deborah founded the Black Women Leadership Association at Albright College, served as an intern for the Alumni & Donor Engagement office, as a Writing Center tutor and tutor manager, and was president of Albright Arts Magazine. She graduated in in June 2021.
