Personal Disability Policy
As a faculty member at Albright, you may qualify for Personal Disability after a qualifying injury. This policy allows you to collect full-time pay for up to six months after the occurrence and then up to 60% of your salary for long-term disability.
Medical Benefits
Albright offers a variety of medical benefits including health insurance, options for dental and vision, a confidential Employee Assistance Program, flex spending accounts, long-term disability insurance, and group life insurance. Educational Benefits
Albright continues her educational mission by offering several ways for eligible employees to continue their own education or that of their dependents. Tuition Exchange, Tuition Remission, and Graduate Tuition Remission are available on a competitive basis. Certain restrictions apply. Bereavement
Although no official policy stands in terms of bereavement, we would like faculty to know that they are capable of taking the time they need to grieve for loved ones and/or make arrangements for them. If you are in need of time for bereavement, please contact the Provost, Andrea Chapdelaine.
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Through the EAP at the Family Guidance Center, Albright offers confidential assistance to its employees in times of need. Contact HR for more information or call the Family Guidance Center at 610-374-4963.
The Albright Learning Center
The Albright Early Learning Center, located less than two miles from the Albright campus, provides early childhood education to children six weeks to six years of age to the Albright community and Berks county residents. Children of Albright employees may be enrolled at a discounted rate. Accredited by National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), The Early Learning Center was recently granted a Private Academic School license from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
The Schumo Center for Fitness and Well-Being
Built in 2007, The Schumo Center provides fitness and well-being programming for all members of the Albright community and the immediate families of employees. In addition to the fitness room, the Center offers a variety of fitness classes ranging from yoga to Zumba, massage therapy, aromatherapy, and Peg’s Cafe which offers healthy snacks and meals.
