2021 Great Colleges to Work for Program
Albright faculty and staff are what make Albright College a special place for our students. As we continue to navigate this global pandemic and the challenges that it has presented for institutions like Albright College, we remain committed to taking care of our students, and committed to taking care of you, our faculty and staff.
The Great Colleges Survey presents an opportunity to assess the climate of our campus community after a year of unforeseen challenges, and most importantly, to provide an anonymous way for you to express honest feedback.
FAQ’s
What is the Great Colleges to Work for Program?
The Great Colleges to Work For Program® is sponsored by the Chronicle of Higher Education in partnership with ModernThink and provides senior-level administrators as well as academic leaders with insights on the quality of the workplace experience and the competitiveness of an institution’s policies and benefits.
When will the survey take place?
The survey will open on Monday, March 8 and run through Friday, April 2.
All full-time faculty and staff – exempt and non-exempt – employed at the college prior to December 31, 2020, will receive an email from ModernThink, an independent management consulting firm focusing on workplace quality in higher education, inviting you to participate in the survey. The email invite will direct you to a secure ModernThink website to complete the online survey. The survey will be open for four weeks, during which we will send a series of reminder emails asking recipients to complete the survey. Once a recipient completes the survey, they will no longer receive reminder emails.
Why will the survey invite come from ModernThink?
By having a third-party provider facilitate the survey process, your responses will be completely anonymous and confidential. Additionally, by working with ModernThink, Albright will benefit from a nationally-normed survey instrument, industry-specific benchmarking data, and enhanced survey results and analysis.
Why is participation important?
Results from this survey help the President’s Council on Wellness to recommend initiatives for the betterment of the Albright community. For example, results from the 2013 and 2016 surveys are what led to the college’s current summer hours and the reinstatement of time off between Christmas and New Year’s.
What’s new since the last time the survey was run?
