Albright IT Services strives to provide a positive wireless experience across campus. Below are the networks that are available in and around campus buildings. As a staff member, part of the faculty, or student of the college, you should make the most of this service; the available wireless networks are listed below.
Get Connected – Network Features
This is the primary wireless network for students and staff to access the Internet and other Albright College network resources while on campus.
Security – WPA2 Enterprise (802.1x)
Works with – Most computers running a current Operating System and most Smartphones.
The Pre-Shared Key network is for devices that aren’t able to work with the Enterprise security of the “Albright” network. You will use a password found here to connect these devices. Keep in mind, you will be required to register any device that you would like to connect to this network. For help with how to register a device, please go here.
Security – WPA2 + PSK
Works with – Most gaming consoles, Chromebooks, and wireless media devices, such as Chromecast, Apple TV, and Roku.
(Tip: If you’ve tried to connect your device to the “Albright” network with no luck – give the “PSK-AC” network a try. You can also see what devices should be able to connect to these networks on our Device Compatibility page).
This network is available to guests of the Albright community. This unsecured network provides internet access only. To connect to this network, you will be required to register your name and email address as well as accept our use policy. Access to this network is granted for 24 hours at a time; at the end of the 24-hour use period, you must re-register yourself.
Please be sure to read the Acceptable Use Policy for using Albright Technology Resources to better understand your responsibilities when using this technology.
