Classroom Technology Inventory – Albright College

There are over sixty classrooms, laboratories, academic and meeting spaces on Albright College’s main campus in Reading. These pages include information on the technology available in rooms that are used as academic support spaces.

Our classrooms are categorized into 4 separate tiers depending on the type of technology that is installed in the room.

Tier 0 Classroom: These rooms have a basic level of technology installed. A ceiling mounted projector with audio and video cable connections are available.

Tier 1 Classroom: These rooms have a full podium with a push button control panel for switching input devices and volume control. A built-in PC, Blu-ray/DVD player, document camera, and HDMI connections for laptops are standard in these rooms. The rooms will have either one projector or one HDTV display.

Tier 2 Classroom: These rooms have a full podium with a touch screen control panel for switching input devices and volume control. A built-in PC, Blu-ray/DVD player, document camera, and HDMI connections for laptops are standard in these rooms. The rooms will have two projectors or two HDTV displays. The AV systems in these rooms are also capable of displaying 2 different input images simultaneously.

Tier 3 Classroom: A built-in PC, Blu-ray/DVD player, document camera, and HDMI connections for laptops are standard in these rooms. The control panel used to switch input devices and control volume may be push button or touch screen. The technology installed in these rooms is meant to explore new, innovative ways of using technology in a classroom setting.
