I’m having problems printing in Citrix. – Albright College

I do not see my printers in Citrix Applications

Albright Faculty and Staff may be granted access to applications through our Citrix environmental for virtual deployment of applications. This environment will be accessed using an Albright issued computer.

Troubleshooting steps if you do not see any printers

  1. Check the printers you have installed
    • Do you have multiple printers that have errors?
      • Look for “NET-PRINT” printers (your Albright printers should be connected with “NET-PRINT-SAFEQ”)
      • Attempt to uninstall printers with errors – particularly those with the “NET-PRINT” reference
    • If you remove printers, try logging out of Citrix and logging back in.
  2. Try to open the “Find Printer” process in Citrix
    • Open an application in Print
    • Attempt to print something to open the Print Dialogue Box
    • Click “Find Printer”
    • Find your printer in the list and attempt to add it
      • This will fail, but may trigger your other printers to be auto-mapped.

Troubleshooting steps if you see printers but cannot print

  1. Take note of your printer number (Hxxxxx) and printer make and model
  2. Confirm that it prints in other non-Citrix applications
  3. Confirm that it does not print in other Citrix applications
  4. Contact Client Services at clientservices@albright.edu or (610) 921-7676 to open a support ticket.
    1. Make sure to note that your printer maps in Citrix but doesn’t print.
    2. Notify them of the printer number, make, and model.
    3. Ask Client Services to review the drivers on the machine to see if that is the issue.

If you experience other issues printing in Citrix applications, please reach out to Client Services at clientservices@albright.edu or (610) 921-7676 to open a support ticket.
