Classroom Technology

Most classrooms at Albright College are equipped with technology to enhance instruction. DSI identifies classrooms by “tiers” to classify what types of technology will be installed in a classroom.

DSI also maintains computer labs in multiple academic buildings on Albright’s Reading, PA campus for use by students, faculty, and staff.

For more details about our classroom technology and computer labs, please visit our Classroom Technology Inventory.

CCM Computer Labs Reservation

Client Services maintains a schedule for the computer labs in the Center for Computing and Mathematics (CCM). Requests to schedule your class to meet for a semester in a computer lab should be directed to the Registrar’s Office. If you wish to schedule the use of a lab for an individual session please submit a CCM Computer Lab Reservation Form.

Full time faculty are provided with an Albright issues laptop when they begin at Albright. These computers are replaced on a four-year cycle with an upgraded model. You will be contacted by a representative from Client Services when it is time for your computer to be replaced and the steps you will need to take.

Available Models

Model information is based on the latest information available to DSI.  This information is subject to change at any time.

FortiClient

Forticlient is Albright College’s anti-virus and VPN program.  It is installed on all faculty and staff computers running a Windows Operating System. It automatically monitors your computer to detect and quarantine viruses. You can also use the VPN through Forticlient to access college resources like your shared drives from off campus.  On your Albright-issued computer the VPN will already be configured, and will only need your username and password to connect.
