The Borough of Hamburg, Berks County, PA is currently hiring a full time salaried Water/Wastewater Superintendent to oversee the operation of the Hamburg Municipal Authority’s water and wastewater treatment plants and systems. Applicants should have (1) a high school diploma or GED, (2) 3-5 years in a supervisory role, (3) Wastewater B license subclass 1, (4) Water C subclasses 1, 7, 8 & 12, (5) experience with PA DEP reporting forms (6) a valid PA driver’s license, (7) Financial experience in budgeting and operating accounts, (8) ability to be on call and attend monthly Municipal Authority meetings. The Borough of Sinking Spring is looking to hire a Waste Water Treatment Plant Operator. The Operator will be responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of the 1.65 MGD Wastewater Treatment Plant, collection and conveyance system, satellite pump station, maintaining compliance with required regulatory agencies, and monitoring and assisting wastewater personnel. It is preferred that the candidate have a minimum of 3 years direct involvement of treatment plant operations, pump stations, and collection systems. Candidate must possess a current Pennsylvania Class B Operators License, Class E Collection and Conveyance System with Sub Classification 1 (Activated Sludge) and Sub Classification 4(Collection System). A valid Pennsylvania Commercial Driver’s License Class B, with the air and tank endorsements or the ability to acquire it within 120 Days, and a clean driving record. The Wyomissing Borough Public Works Department has openings for full time summer employment. These positions are outdoors and require physical labor.

Assignments could include, tree chipping, cleaning debris off of catch basins, painting fire hydrants, laying asphalt and general labor working with our full time crew.

It is a 40 hours per work week paying $11.00 per hour. A valid PA drives license is needed.
