March 2018: International Women’s Day
Happy March Albrightians! As the semester continues, we encourage you to take some time away from your studies to help us in celebrating International Women’s Day 2018 on March 8th.
International Women’s day is a campaign that is celebrated throughout the world in countries, such as Austria, Germany, and the United Sates. International Women’s Day is a day that is filled with celebrating the many achievements of women throughout society (#Pressforprogress). With this celebration, comes an opportunity to discuss issues regarding gender inequality that are prominent in society.
On March 8th, the Albright community will come together in celebration that encourages a healthy discussion of gender equality. Although International Women’s Day is only one day, the conversation should continue every day.
Please remember, if you are in need of someone to talk to about how you are feeling, you can reach out to:
The Gable Health and Counseling Center at 610-921-7532 or stopping by to make an appointment. We are located across the street from Smith Hall.
Bold, Inspiring, Adventurous, Caring, Independent, Fearless, and Decisive, Determined, Confident, are only some of the many adjectives that have been used to describe women throughout society. Make sure to continue every day in celebration of everything that has been and will be accomplished by women.
