  • A calcium-rich diet (low-fat dairy products, dark green leafy vegetables, broccoli and salmon) and weight-bearing exercises are vital for strong bones
  • Weight-bearing exercises (done with both feet on the floor) include walking, racquet sports and step aerobics
  • Strength-training exercises provide an additional way to maintain healthy bones

Things you can do to maintain a positive mental attitude are:

  • Exercise and get adequate rest
  • Eat a healthy diet and stay away foods that are high in refined sugars
  • Decrease alcohol consumption
