| Chaiet,
Dragon, Potts and Rusnock Inducted into Albright Hall of Fame

Representing football, baseball,
basketball, track & field, tennis and softball, Paul Chaiet ’67,
Roy Dragon ’56, Gerald Potts ’52 and Jarra Rusnock ’98
were inducted into the Albright College Athletic Hall of Fame during
Homecoming Weekend in October. The induction of these four brings
the total number of Hall of Fame members to 59. Chaiet was a co-captain of the
Albright football team in 1966, when he was named First-Team All-Middle
Atlantic Conference and
AP First Team All Pennsylvania as an offensive lineman. He received
several awards including the Anthony L. Lanshe award as Albright’s
Outstanding Lineman, the Memorial Prize-Class of 1926 award as
an outstanding representative of Albright, and the NCAA Post-Graduate
scholarship. Chaiet currently serves as a Superior Court Judge
in New Jersey.
Dragon lettered four times in
football and baseball at Albright. As a junior and senior he was
named the Anthony L. Lanshe Most
Outstanding Back for the football team. He was also the baseball
team's leading hitter in 1956. After graduation, he quarterbacked
the US Army 3rd Armored Division team to the European Conference
Championship. Prior to retirement, Dragon served as principal of
Roselle Park School District in Roselle Park, N.J.
Potts was a four-sport athlete
at Albright, lettering in football, basketball, track & field and baseball. During his senior year
he was selected to play in the Blue/Gray Senior College Football
All-Star Game, and was co-captain of the basketball and track teams.
In basketball he was named second team All-State in 1952, when
he also earned the Ron Regar Most Outstanding Basketball Player
award. He was also named Albright’s Most Outstanding Senior
Male Athlete.
Rusnock earned four varsity
letters in tennis, softball and basketball. She earned team Most
Valuable Player awards in all three sports,
and is the leading scorer in Albright women’s basketball
history. She also holds career records for points in a game and
points in a season. Rusnock was named First Team All-Conference
four times in basketball, and was the MAC Rookie of the Year in
1995. Outside of basketball, she was twice the silver medalist
at the MAC women’s tennis championships, and was named Albright's
Most Outstanding Senior Female Athlete in 1998. She was also honored
as a GTE Academic All-American. Rusnock is a teacher and basketball
coach in the Muhlenberg School District in Muhlenberg, Pa.
