Paul Lountzis ’87, Barbara Arner ’71 and Joe Winkler (left to right)

Find what you love to do and then find a way to do it, Paul Lountzis ’87 told students during Entrepreneurship Day in October. Lountzis is president of Lountzis Asset Management, a registered investment advisor managing customized portfolios for individuals, institutions, pension and profit sharing plans, located in Wyomissing, Pa. The firm utilizes a research-driven approach to identify outstanding companies led by quality management teams at attractive prices.

Crediting his wife and family as the driving force behind his success as an entrepreneur, he also encouraged students to find talented, smart people from which to learn and have a strong network of family and friends for support.

Following his talk, two local entrepreneurs joined him in a panel discussion

  • Barbara Arner ’71 is president and second-generation owner of Arner’s Restaurants in Reading. Arner oversees a restaurant operation that serves more than 1.8 million guests per year, maintains her license to practice law and serves as director of several community boards.
  • Joe Winkler is president of Everyday Wireless in Reading. He co-founded the company in June 2000 after inventing the company’s first product, a wireless school bus notification system called HereComesTheBus. Winkler developed this patent-pending technology, which is currently being prepared for market launch in the Wilson School District in West Lawn, Pa.

Entrepreneurship Day is an opportunity for Albright students to learn from people who have implemented ideas, taken advantage of market opportunities and are applying skills strategically in the day-to-day business world.
