Technology has become critical in the daily lives of people around the
world. Four entrepreneurs with technology-based companies shared their
success stories with Albright students during Entrepreneurship Day in
October. Ed Heere 70, president/CEO of AMSYS Computer, a Connecticut-based
IT support and services company, gave the keynote address. Heere discussed
how he grew and developed his company. He was also one of the pioneers
of the IBM-PC compatible industry, having designed, sourced and imported
one of the first IBM compatible computer systems in 1982/83. A panel discussion featuring Reading-area entrepreneurs followed. Mark Ferraro is founder and director of marketing & sales at P-Wave,
a Reading-based audio video web development company. Joe Rado is president/CEO of World Electronics, a Reading-based, high-tech electronics contract manufacturer and leading international supplier of electronic assemblies, diagnostic tools and repair services to the elevator industry. |
