Albright Nominated for Excellence in Foundation and Endowment Money Management

Jay YoderAlbright College has been nominated for Small Nonprofit of the Year in Foundation and Endowment Money Management’s (FEMM) 2009 Nonprofit Awards for Excellence.

This nomination is an honor that reflects industry-wide recognition of accomplishments during the challenging past year.

Nominees and winners are selected by the editors of Institutional Investor News’ Foundation & Endowment Money Management (FEMM) newsletter, a monthly publication covering investment issues of import to foundations, endowments and others in the non-profit investing sector.

The editors and reporters of FEMM interview leaders from across the F&E investing community, solicit input from subscribers
and other industry professionals and call on their own market intelligence when making their selections.

Trustee Jay Yoder ’81, who serves as chair of the Albright Board of Trustees’ Investment Committee, helped Albright undergo a makeover last year, investing in its first hedge funds and real assets. Besides cushioning the blow by investing in alternatives, Yoder, who is head of real assets at Altius Associates, also restructured the College’s fixed income investments to include only intermediate U.S. Treasury bonds.

Winners of FEMM’s 2009 Nonprofit Awards for Excellence will be announced in September.
