Johnson Luck ’96 Appointed Head Women’s Basketball Coach
A four-time letter winner for the Lady Lions basketball team, Janice
Johnson Luck ’96 says she is excited to be back on the court
as head coach. Focused on a winning season, Luck says there are
three areas of commitment she will stress to her players. “A
commitment to the team, a commitment to academics, and a commitment
to winning.”
Being an alumna of Albright gives her a “step up,”
she says. “I’m already committed to my alma mater. I
have a passion for Albright and am going to put 100 percent into
every practice, every game…”
Upon graduation in 1996, Luck served two years as an assistant
coach at Albright before moving on to West Chester University, where
she spent one season as an assistant coach while pursuing her master’s
degree in sport and athletic administration. Luck returned to Albright
in the fall of 1999 to work in the Admission Office, and returned
to the bench as an assistant coach for the 2001-2002 season. She
also served as Albright’s director of special gifts from 2000-2002.
In addition to her duties as head women’s coach, Luck will
serve as the recruiting coordinator for the Albright Athletics Department. |
