Albright Accelerated Degree Completion Program Offered at Lehigh Carbon Community College

Albright College and Lehigh Carbon Community College (LCCC) signed an agreement establishing a new joint bachelor’s degree program. The partnership links LCCC’s associate degrees to selected Albright bachelor’s degrees through Albright’s Accelerated Degree Completion Program (DCP). Albright president Henry A. Zimon and LCCC president Donald Snyder signed the agreement.

Albright will offer its Accelerated Degree Completion classes at Lehigh Carbon Community College beginning in September.

“Albright is delighted to forge this partnership agreement with LCCC,” said Albright College President Henry A. Zimon. “The high quality of the LCCC associate degree is an ideal springboard to an Albright bachelor’s degree, and our accelerated program offers so many advantages for LCCC’s students.”

“This agreement marks the first of what we hope will be many initiatives that bring exceptional services together at LCCC for the benefit of our community. Though anyone can take advantage of this convenient partnership, we are especially pleased to offer such an attractive option to our students,” said LCCC President Donald Snyder.

LCCC’s associate of arts and associate of science degrees will transfer fully to Albright DCP degrees in business administration, accounting, crime and justice, or organizational behavior/applied psychology. All LCCC associate degree graduates are guaranteed admission to the Albright program.

Under the dual admissions program, LCCC students with A.A. and A.S. degrees transferring to Albright’s day programs in Reading will be eligible for scholarships ranging from $2,500 to $7,500, depending on the student’s GPA. Furthermore, a presidential scholarship of an additional $2,500 will be awarded to each LCCC student transferring during the 2001-2003 academic years.

Albright’s Accelerated Degree Completion Program, part of Albright’s Professional Division, also offers classes in Reading, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Pottstown and Blue Bell.
