Educational Adventures Await Albright Alumni

village life

Picture yourself amidst colorful towns, crystal blue Mediterranean waters, bold mountains and a wealth of world-renowned artists. Or, maybe you’re cruising along the world’s longest navigable river experiencing the diversity of nature as it flourishes beneath the Amazon’s shaded Rainforest canopy. And, you’re with your fellow Albrightians!

Through Albright’s Alumni Association you have the opportunity to not only picture it, but to do it!

From September 28 to October 6, 2001 you can experience Village Life on the French Riviera. The Cote d’Azur has long been regarded as an artists’ paradise.

You will enjoy guided tours of the region’s excellent museums from the Matisse and Chagall in Nice to the famed Musee Picasso in Antibes.

Features include first-class accommodations, sightseeing, round-trip air transportation from the U.S. to Nice and a scenic transfer from Nice to Cannes.

You will spend seven nights at Cannes’ four-star Hotel Savoy, situated in the heart of La Croisette, just a few steps from the beach and the exclusive shops of the rue d’Antibes.

But if you prefer the great outdoors, take a trip down the Amazon. From March 9 to March 17, 2002 you can learn about wildlife you never even knew existed as you travel through the Rainforest.

For seven days you will travel the world’s most exotic and longest navigable river aboard the Amazon’s intimate 26-passenger La Turmalina. Offering incredible wildlife viewing from a spacious, open-air top deck, passengers will experience classic 19th century elegance and 21st century comfort.

From La Turmalina you will board special small excursion boats to explore the Amazon’s secretive tributaries, view the world’s largest wetlands refuge and experience species not found anywhere else on this planet!
