Women’s
basketball head coach Janice (Johnson) Luck ’96 was
named Common-wealth Conference Coach of the Year.
Coach Luck guided the Lady Lions to a 14-11 season,
the most wins in school
history for a women’s basketball team. She also helped Albright
fashion a nine-game improvement from the 2004-05 season.
Luck said, “I feel this year was a turning
point for the women’s
basketball program. We really turned the corner as far as being
a more competitive program. The girls played with more confidence,
which helped us win. Having all but one senior returning was a
huge help too, and will hopefully
help next year as well. I was honored to
be named Coach of the Year, but the real recognition is for the
players on such an improved season.” |
