A Message from President's Council Chair, James A Kurtz '63

Dear Albrightian,

As the new volunteer Chair of the President’s Council, I wanted to take a moment to introduce the Council to you, and to convey the importance of the Council to the future of Albright College.

The President’s Council is made up of individuals who have made a gift of $1,000 or more to Albright College in the preceding year, and includes additional giving clubs at higher levels. These levels are as follows:

Masters Society — $25,000 and above
Centennial Society — $10,000 - $24,999
Heritage Society — $5,000 - $9,999
Cornerstone Society — $2,500 - $4,999
Millennium Society — $1,000 - $2,499

Last year, the 256 President’s Council members were responsible for 83 percent of all non-bequest dollars from individuals – a dramatic statistic! It is our goal to increase the size of this Council to 275 members this year. When we reach our goal, it will represent an increase of at least $20,000 – enough to buy 15 new computers, 400 new books in the library or provide scholarship aid for four students.

As you can see, the President’s Council is the foundation upon which our success is built. I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have already answered the call and joined the President’s Council. Your leadership has had a positive and important effect on the future of the College. But more importantly, I would like to encourage all those who can join to do so. We cannot do it without you! Please join me and the 255 other members this year in making Albright as strong as it can be!

Sincerely,
James A. Kurtz ’63
President’s Council Chair

P.S. If you would like additional information on how to join, please contact Bob Miller, director of major gifts, at 610-921-7502 or via e-mail at robertm@alb.edu. Thank you in advance for your help.
