Meaningful Experiences image

Adding to the Albright Experience

Students new to Albright College soon find a wealth of new experiences and educational opportunities available to them here. In fact, many students have told us that by the time they graduate, they’ve come to consider their time at Albright the best thing that’s ever happened to them.

For many students, the involvement of their parents adds yet another dimension of satisfaction to the Albright experience. The entire Albright community benefits when parents become involved.

Following are a number of ways you can get involved in both your student’s education and the life of the Albright community. After you look through the many opportunities, we hope you’ll decide to join our team of parent volunteers. When you do, you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re making a positive contribution to your student’s experience at Albright College.

Volunteer with Our Admission Office

Parents who volunteer with our Admission Office are a valuable resource for prospective students and their parents, because they can share their firsthand knowledge of the Albright College experience. If you’re interested, please contact the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

Parents and Alumni Seeking Students (PASS)

The Admission Office coordinates the PASS program to enable prospective students and their parents to meet face to face with Albright alumni and their parents. The program enables alumni and parents to share their enthusiasm about Albright by hosting recruiting events in various locations throughout the year. If you’re interested, please contact the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

College Fairs

Join one of Albright’s Admission counselors at a college/career fair, where you’ll have the opportunity to speak with prospective students and their families about what it’s like to be the parent of an Albrightian. If you’re interested, please contact the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

On-Campus Open Houses

Spend a day assisting the Admission Office at an on-campus open house. High school students and their families come to campus to learn as much as they can about Albright, and you can help by telling them about your experiences as the parent of an Albright student. If you’re interested, please contact the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

Refer a Student

Informing the Albright Admission counselors about quality prospective students is a great way to enhance our applicant pool. Parents are encouraged to advocate for a student’s admission to the College, so if you’re acquainted with an applicant and wish to provide a recommendation, please speak to an Admission counselor by contacting the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

Prospective Parent Calling

You can encourage parents of accepted students to join you as an Albright parent by contacting them and telling them about your student’s experiences at Albright. If you’re interested, please contact the Admission Office at 610-921-7700.

Volunteer with Our Experiential Learning & Career Development Center

Parents share their experience and knowledge of various career options with our students. If you’re interested, please contact the Experiential Learning & Career Development Center at 610-921-7630 or careercenter@albright.edu.

Ask JIM

Through Ask JIM (Jobs, Internships, Mentors), you can share your career knowledge, expertise and insights with our students by becoming a mentor. As a mentor, you can provide any or all of the following services: conduct informational interviews or network with students via phone, email or in person; provide a shadowing opportunity; speak to a class or campus organization; help students practice the art of interviewing through mock interviews; and provide resume/cover letter critiques. If you’re interested, please contact the Experiential Learning & Career Development Center at 610-921-7630 or careercenter@albright.edu.
