Reading, Pa.- As a part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Albright College is hosting “Ready…Set…Go Pink!” on October 22, 2010, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event will take place on the corner of Linden Street and College Avenue on the Albright College campus and is free and open to the public.

Aimed at spreading awareness and ultimately finding a cure for breast cancer, the event festivities will feature games, competitions, candy and pie-throwing. The Berks Products pink concrete truck will be present at the event and T-shirts will be sold. Albright College’s Criminal Justice Society, football team, Department of Public Safety student officers, Gable Health and Counseling Center, as well as local organizations such as Berks Products and Reppert’s Candy have all joined forces to sponsor this event.

“It is truly amazing how the community has come together to work towards such a great cause!” said Becki Fidler, event coordinator. “I have come to realize that we are all in this together, and through our hard work and determination, eventually we will win the fight against cancer!"
