Freedman Gallery to Host Reading, Pa. -- The Freedman Gallery at Albright College will host the exhibition Jennifer and Kevin McCoy: The Family Show, November 5 – December 13. The opening reception is scheduled for November 5 from 5-7 p.m. The artists will make a formal presentation of their work November 4 at 6 p.m. in Klein Lecture Hall. All events are free and open to the public. Jennifer and Kevin McCoy are Brooklyn-based artists who give new meaning to the term collaboration. Both artists hold master of fine arts degrees from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, N.Y. The exhibition, The Family Show, explores the ordinary lives of parents and artists in extraordinary ways through film, interactive media and installation works. The McCoys’ work has been exhibited at a range of venues in the United States and internationally. Most recently their work was hosted by Gallery Guy Bärtschi in Geneva, pkm Gallery in Beijing, Museum of Modern Art in N.Y., University Art Museum in Albany, the British Film Institute Southbank in London, Postmasters and Artists Space in N.Y., and the San Jose Museum of Art. The Freedman Gallery is located in the Center for the Arts at Albright College at 13th and Bern Streets, Reading. Klein Lecture Hall is also located in the Center for the Arts.
