Local Magician Attempts to Cheat Death at Albright College

Award-winning illusionist Ed Junior of Mohnton, Pa. will present Ultimate Illusions on Friday, December 5, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. The show, which will feature magic, illusions, music, special effects and more, will be held in Albright College's Wachovia Theatre.

During the show, which will benefit the Domino Players Theatre Company, Ed will attempt the world's most dangerous escape, "Cheating Death." Locked, chained collared and handcuffed to the inside of a steel cabinet, he will have to free himself before 10 spikes, each two feet in length, come crashing down at over 30 mph. He will have two minutes and 30 seconds to make the escape.

Ed Junior, producer and star of Magic Town, a children's television show aired on Berks Community Television, also recently published a book, Magic in Minutes. He has performed at venues such as Club Coliseum, Shocktoberfest and WEEU radio, as well as the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, where he was recognized as a Who's Who in magic entertainment. He has also won numerous awards including first place in the Fox Family Channel magic competition.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students with ID. They can be purchased by calling the Albright College Box Office at 610-921-7547.
