Bookmark and Share

Reading, Pa. - Works of art created by Albright students are currently on display in Albright College’s Freedman Gallery and will run through May 14, 2010. The exhibition will be juried by artist Jane Runyeon. A reception will be held on Friday, May 7 from 4-6 p.m., with awards being presented at 5 p.m. in the Freedman Gallery. The exhibition and event are free and open to the public.
The entries in the Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition represent a variety of media including both two and three dimensional pieces. All students at Albright College can submit their artwork for consideration of the juror. The exhibition was made possible with the generous support of the Silverweed Foundation.

Juror Jane Runyeon has taught as an adjunct professor at Albright College for 10 years and has served on the board of directors for the Reading Public Museum. Her artwork is as diverse as her lifestyle and reflects the universal quality of all inspiring art by taking the viewer into the subject.

Other recent projects undertaken by Runyeon include curating the yearly art exhibitions at the Sovereign Center. She is currently developing art collections for several corporate clients. Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, including the permanent collection of the Reading Public Museum.

The Freedman Gallery is located at the corner of 13th and Bern Streets in Reading, Pa. The Gallery is wheelchair accessible. For more information call the Center for the Arts at 610-921-7715.
