Award-Winning Film Chronicling Story of
Iraqi Physician to be Shown
Reading , Pa.- Albright College will present the award-winning film, My Country, My Country, on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at 6 p.m. in Klein Lecture Hall. A discussion facilitated by Professor Geoffrey Schad, Ph.D., and Professor Irene Langran, Ph.D., will follow the showing of the film. This event is free and open to the public.
My Country, My Country, a film by Laura Poitras, chronicles the story of an Iraqi physician as the country prepares for the 2005 elections. The film follows the predicament and gradual descent of one man caught in the tragic contradictions of the U.S. occupation of Iraq and its project to spread democracy in the Middle East.
