Argentina Bicentennial: A Retrospective View of Education Reading, Pa. – Albright College will present a lecture, “Argentina Bicentennial: A Retrospective View of Education,” on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 4 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in the Gingrich Library in Study Rooms A and B. Estela Gambelin, president of the Sarah Eccleston College located in Parana, Argentina, will discuss what education is like in Argentina and the impact of U.S. teachers who established schools there in the 19th century. Gambelin has pursued graduate study at the University of Pittsburgh and Thiel College and received scholarships from UCLA and ELS center in London. She is a former vice president of the Universidad Autonoma, Entrerios in Argentina and has served as a consultant on teacher education for the government of Argentina.
