William W. Wood Named Albright CFO Reading , Pa.- William W. Wood, CPA, has been named vice president for administrative and financial services at Albright College. Wood will succeed Paul Gazzerro Jr., who is retiring after 13 years of service. Wood comes to Albright with more than 30 years of experience in finance and administration, most recently as vice president for finance and chief financial officer at Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York. Albright's vice president for administrative and financial services oversees all financial aspects of the College including budget development and management, investments and endowments, payroll, facilities management, risk and property management, insurance procurement, information technology, legal affairs, human resources and auxiliary services. Wood's 15 years in higher education finance and administration includes serving as vice president for finance at St. John Fisher College and university director of budget systems and operations at the University of Rochester, and includes responsibility for operating and capital planning and budgeting, improving operating efficiencies, facilities management and property management. His experience also includes positions in property management and several architectural and engineering firms, including as vice president of administration for Bergmann Associates, Inc., Rochester, New York. Wood, a certified public accountant, holds an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Penn State. An Easton, Pa., native, he attended Wilson Area High School. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Eastern Association of College and University Business Officers. He is a member of the board of directors of the Oneonta Concert Association and a member of the Alumni Board of Penn State's Smeal College of Business Administration. Albright President Lex O.
