AlbrightLearning Center Offers The Albright Learning Center is now registering students for its innovative, combined, full-day kindergarten and first grade program. An afternoon Kindergarten Enrichment Program is also being offered for students attending public school. For the kindergarten/first grade program, students must be five years of age for kindergarten and six years of age for first grade by September 1, 2007. The program, which runs five days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., is taught by a Pennsylvania certified teacher in a small, progressive environment. Teacher and students develop close relationships that foster an acute understanding of each child as a learner and a whole person. This allows children to learn and grow at a rate that is developmentally appropriate for them and get the support they need to meet the challenges of their daily lives. The program uses the seven domains of development: personal and social; language and literacy; mathematical thinking; scientific thinking; social/global studies; the arts; and physical education. For those students attending public school, a Kindergarten Enrichment Program is being offered from noon to 3:15 p.m. or noon to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The latter option includes childcare services after 3:15 p.m. For more information or to register your child, call the Albright Learning Center The Albright Learning Center, located at 3040 Kutztown Road in Muhlenberg Township, is an early childhood development center operated by Albright College.
