Faculty and Staff Information

  • One-Hour Delay/Late Opening. All classes scheduled before 9 a.m. are cancelled. Students report to their regularly scheduled 9 a.m. classes on MWF and 9:30 a.m. classes on T/Th. All offices open as soon as possible but no later than 9 a.m.
  • Two-Hour Delay/Late Opening. All classes before 10 a.m. are cancelled. Students report to their regularly scheduled 10 a.m. classes on MWF and 11 a.m. classes on T/Th. All offices open as soon as possible but no later than 10 a.m.
  • Evening Classes Cancelled. All classes on the main campus that begin at 5 p.m. and after are cancelled.
  • Activities, athletic events or individual facilities may be closed or cancelled even when the College is open. Individual events may take place even when classes are cancelled.
  • Status may change! For example, a one-hour delay may later change to a two-hour or more delay or change to a closing. Late afternoon and evening classes may be cancelled even if the College has been open all day.
  • Faculty and Staff: Employees may be required to report even when classes are cancelled. For complete information on reporting, see the weather policy on the Intranet or in the Employee Handbook.
  • Accelerated Degree Program (ADP) locations, call the ADP Office at 1-888-253-8851 for continuously updated information about closings in all ADP locations.

How to Find Out What’s Happening

PLEASE NOTE: Text message, broadcast voicemail, web and the Hot Line are the first places where information is posted and updated! 

1. E2Campus Text Message  A brief text message will be sent to everyone signed up for the emergency text messaging system, E2Campus, and direct you where to find more detailed information. To sign up for E2Campus, please visit http://www.e2campus.com/my/alb/signup.htm  and have your phone turned on.

2. Check your College voice mail for a broadcast message. Please note that this message will not go to students since they no longer have College land lines. From your campus phone, call Albright voice mail at x7898 to check for messages. From off-campus, dial the Albright voice mail system at 610-921-7898. Press * (star) and enter your ID (your extension number) followed by # (pound) and your password and listen to the broadcast message.

3. Check the Albright web site at www.albright.edu

4. Call the Albright Hot Line: x7800 or 610-921-7800. Information is posted and updated as necessary.

5. Listen to Your Local Radio or TV Station. Please do not rely on this as your first source of information.
