Secondary Certification (7-12th grade)

Content areas: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Math, Social Studies, Art, Spanish, French

Pre-requisites:

  • General Studies course requirements - 1 Composition, 2 Math, 1 Literature, 1 General Psychology– must have a C or better in each.  If you are missing any of these, they must be taken prior to starting grad. classes
  • Content area coursework must be completed
  • 2.8 GPA required for admission – 3.0 GPA needed at time of student teaching (if below a 2.8, student must meet provisional requirements for full acceptance)
  • Pass scores on Praxis I tests – reading, writing, and math
