Albright Named One of the Best Fashion Schools in the Country Fashion-Schools.org has named Albright College No. 39 on its 2015 list of top 50 fashion merchandising schools and colleges in the United States, and No. 11 on its national list of top 25 private fashion merchandising schools/colleges. Albright was also named one of the top 20 fashion design schools on the East Coast.
Albright Senior Introduces Local Elementary Students to the World of Fashion and Storytelling Costume student Susie Benitez '15 spent the spring semester working on a project called Once Upon a Runway, with local elementary school students. Benitez assigned each student a children's book and asked them to create drawings and paper clothes based on the books. Benitez then designed each child a costume, inspired by their artwork. The students will model the costumes at Albright's fashion showcase on May 9.

Season One Winner of "Project Runway" to Speak at Albright College Jay McCarroll, the season one winner of the reality show, “Project Runway,” will speak at Albright College on Tuesday, April 15, at 4 p.m. The event, which is free and open to the public, will be held in Klein Lecture Hall, Center for the Arts. This event is sponsored by Club Vogue, Albright’s student fashion group.
Saturday, Nov. 2 Sock Hop If you wanted to come to the Victorian and masquerade balls from past seasons, but didn’t have a dress to wear, now is your chance to join us! This year, our ’50s-themed sock hop features period music and dance instruction. Get out your poodle-skirts, bobby socks, letterman sweaters and jackets. Slick back your hair (gents) or bump it up in a beehive (ladies). $10 students/$15 adults. Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the United Way. 7:30 p.m., LifeSports Center

Shop-Rite Knock Out Hunger T-Shirt Design Contest This past fall, Shop-Rite Partners in Caring held a T-Shirt Design Contest to support their Knock Out Hunger Campaign. The objective of the contest was to create a design that would evoke empathy for hunger awareness. Four students from Albright College (Andre Jackson, Payal Patel, Sarah Rowe, Alysha Miller) were selected in the top 15 finalists for the contest. In February they were invited to the unveiling event at the Time Warner Center in NYC during fashion week. The students had the pleasure of meeting two celebrity judges, Jeannie Mai, host of Style Network’s “How Do I Look?” and Korto Momolu, from BRAVO’s “Project Runway”.
