YoungJoo Lee earned her Ph.D. in fashion design from Chung-Ang University in Korea. She has also earned a Master of Arts in Museum Studies: Costume/Textiles from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and a Master in Science in Western Clothing from Chung-Ang University in Korea. YoungJoo earned her Bachelor of Science in Clothing Management from Chung-Ang University in Korea.
YoungJoo brings to Albright and interesting fashion background. She has held fashion teaching positions at Seoul Mode Fashion College and Chun-Ang University in Korea. In addition she has performed conservation work on 16th century costume and tapestry. YoungJoo has also done research and design work on clothing for elderly and disabled people.
YoungJoo is a member of the International Textile and Apparel Association (ITAA), The Korean Society of Costume and the Korean Society of Clothing and Textiles. She has presented her research at the annual meeting of ITAA in Los Angeles and the Annual conference of the Korean Society of Costume. YoungJoo has also published her research in the International Journal of Costume and the Journal of the Korean Society of Costume.
